I normally don't read stories about teenage girls. Quite frankly, I don't like teenage girls. Not many people do. Not even teenage boys. Generally speaking, teenage girls are too self-centered, living in their "me" world and not caring so much about others. Generally speaking. Of course there are exceptions to this. Carly was not an exception. Her attitude infuriated me throughout a large portion of the book. But even though I was irritated with her, this book was good... very, very good.
Through her journey, Carly learned more about life and trust and appreciation of what was right there in front of her than she could have ever imagined.
"Walk Me Home" would be a good book club pick.
