My Review:

With each new book in the Sullivan's Crossing series, I become more and more in love with these characters and the world Robyn Carr has created in Timberlake, Colorado. Although each book in this series could actually be read as a stand-alone, reading them all gives you background information as to family relationships and friendships. And believe me, once you get started on this series, you will absolutely want to read them all. Each book centers on one or two of these fabulous characters, but it's easy to see how all of their lives are entwined. I am so thankful to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this advance copy.

THE BEST OF US centers on the local doctor, Leigh Culver, who has spent the past years trying to get over a disastrous breakup.  And then there is Rob, the owner of the pub down the street, who has been raising his two teenage boys by himself after the death of his wife several years ago. We also become reaquainted with Sully, the loveable older gentleman who owns and runs the campground and general store at Sulllivan's Crossing. We are also introduced to Helen, Leigh's aunt, who happens to be a writer.

As I have said before, Robyn Carr creates multi-dimensional characters who warm your heart and make you feel like you are part of the story.  I cried and I smiled, feeling every emotion imaginable. And in the end I had this overwhelming feeling of happiness, the love of family, and the fact that I wanted to pack my bags and move to Timberlake, Colorado. Great series from an author I have grown to love!
