About the Book:
Cowboy firefighter, Cole Hatcher, is determined to do what’s right and take his fiancĂ© with him to his mother’s annual holiday dinner party. After all, the two most important ladies in his life need to learn to get along and the sooner the better. Besides, the rest of the family will be there.
Lacey Winters can’t forgive her future mother-in-law for keeping them apart for eight years. While she loves Cole’s family, including the five they are living with, “Racy Lacey” wants to spend Christmas alone with Cole, preferably in her sexy Christmas present for him.
But there are worse things brewing than family drama. This Christmas day, nothing goes as planned…for anyone.

This is a quick read of around 94 pages and right now it is available on Kindle Unlimited.
Although this is described as Book #1 in the Last Chance series, I felt like I was reading Book #2 or #3. There were several issues addressed that I felt like I should have known about regarding the history between Lacey and Cole. Aside from that, the book was quite enjoyable and I was able to read it as a stand alone since the author hit on the background info from time to time. Be warned! This is a bit on the "racy" side, but well-written.
Cole is a cowboy and fireman. What could be sexier than that? He also has a sensitive side as shown by his horse rescue for abused animals and his concern for the feelings of the two most important women in his life, Lacey and his mother.
Things get exciting when Lacey ventures out on her horse, Angel, on Christmas day and runs into the cruel man who had abused Angel. No more spoilers, but Lexi Post packed quite a bit of action and romance into those 94 pages.
